An only child

Families come in all shapes and sizes. Some include grandparents, some don't. Some have many children and some have only one child. When a child is the only one, with no siblings, we call that child, 'an only child'.

Like most things, there are good aspects (advantages) and bad aspects (disadvantages) to being an only child. Listen to the three people in the video talking about 'what it's really like being an only child'
