Dying languages

There are approximately 110 different ethnic languages spoken in Myanmar. While Burmese, the language of the Bamar ethnic group is spoken by about two thirds of the population, some of these languages are only spoken by a small number of people. Language is important, as language is the key element of a culture and when a language dies, so too does the culture, in all it's richness and diversity.
