Fashion Trends

A trend = a general change in behaviours or attitudes or habits over time.

So, we can talk about many different types of trends, for example, population trends, work and employment trends, music trends. One of the most common type of trends that people talk about are fashion trends.

Fashion trends = changes in popular clothing and appearance (e.g hair) styles. These often change, so at least every year, there are new fashion trends.

Fashion trends are difficult to follow these days and it’s widely believed that they primarily exist just to sell clothes. Some people believe that we shouldn’t follow them and that we should dress in what we like and feel comfortable in.
