Myanmar mask making competition


The science is uncertain as to whether wearing a face mask helps to reduce the spread of the coronavirus but science isn't really what is important. What is important is the people FEEL safe. We all want to feel safe: from violence, from bullying, from hateful speech, from heartbreak.


Feeling safe is very important for all humans regardless of their culture, ethnicity, religion or country. So at this point in time, wearing masks makes many people FEEL safer, so we should all wear masks when we are out and about. It's a good thing to do.


Daw Aung San Suu Kyi also believes wearing a mask in public is the right thing to do. She has started a competition to promote the wearing of face masks. Read the article about the competition and identify the statements as True, False or Not Given.
