In the public eye


A celebrity is defined as ' a famous person, especially in entertainment or sport'. In modern times, many people have a fascination with celebrities and celebrities are always in the public eye.


But, are celebrities, such as famous actors, singers and sportspeople entitled to the same level of privacy as ordinary people?


Some people believe that because celebrities trade their freedom and privacy for fame, adulation and the accompanying riches, they do not have the same rights to privacy.

Celebrities are famous people whose lives are constantly presented in the media and they often use media coverage to promote themselves and their projects. Some people argue that celebrities do not have a right to privacy.
