Myanmar/China village
It has been interesting for me, coming to Myanmar and living in a country that has so many borders with other countries. In my home country, New Zealand, we have NO borders, because New Zealand is an island, so we are surrounded by water.
Borders between countries are often described as 'hard', 'soft' or 'open'. A hard border is one that is very controlled and it is difficult to move between counties. A soft border is the opposite - there is little control and it is relatively easy to travel from one country to another. An open border means that there are no restrictions and anyone can travel across the border.
Watch the video about a village that sits on a soft border between Myanmar and China and answer the nine questions with NO MORE than THREE WORDS from the video.
You will need to WATCH, LISTEN and READ to find all the answers.
1. Every morning, what do many Burmese children do, to attend school?
2. Before school begins, what do the school children listen to?
3. What do the local Chinese students wear to school?
4. What percentage of school students are from Myanmar?
5. When was the school established?
6. How much are the school fees for Myanmar students?
7. Which drink does the school provide for students?
